honestly??? this was disappointing。 i absolutely loved the last 3 books but i didn't expect the finale to be this anticlimactic:// the whole story could've been wrapped up in the book before this one i felt like this one was just repetitive with the same plot as defy me tbh。 overall, id give the series as a whole a solid 3'5-4 stars because i LOVED all the characters and although i did predict a lot of details, i didn't see the big plot twist coming which is something i also loved about this ser honestly??? this was disappointing。 i absolutely loved the last 3 books but i didn't expect the finale to be this anticlimactic:// the whole story could've been wrapped up in the book before this one i felt like this one was just repetitive with the same plot as defy me tbh。 overall, id give the series as a whole a solid 3'5-4 stars because i LOVED all the characters and although i did predict a lot of details, i didn't see the big plot twist coming which is something i also loved about this series!! lastly i wish we saw more of kenji and nazeera's relationship bc i loved their dynamic so much and kenji was my favorite character so i really wanted to see him get his WELL DESERVED happy ending :( 。。。more

I was missing a lots of things from this book。 It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of the Shatter Me series, but I must admit Imagine Me is a little weak。 Taking away Warner's POV was a huge disappointment and Juliette's POV was in some parts incredible cringy。。。 The pages were filled with useless information instead something that might actually would be interesting (Adam&James or Nazeera)。 At least Kenji didn't disappointment me! out of the entire series i’d say this one and the first book are the worst。 they’re still amazing books but compared to the others these aren’t as good。 the epilogue was my favorite part

Well fuck。 I finally finished the series (until the 6。5 novella comes out)。 I did want to see more of Nazeera and Kenji。 I feel like we got robbed of them。 Hopefully we see more of them in the novella。 I love Warner and Ella SO FUCKING MUCH。 Damn what a story this has been。 I’m so happy this series didn’t stay a trilogy。 I definitely liked the 6 book way more。 I wonder what Kenji did again to ruin her wedding dress😂。 Warner is one of the best book boyfriends EVER。 I am also in love with Kenji if Well fuck。 I finally finished the series (until the 6。5 novella comes out)。 I did want to see more of Nazeera and Kenji。 I feel like we got robbed of them。 Hopefully we see more of them in the novella。 I love Warner and Ella SO FUCKING MUCH。 Damn what a story this has been。 I’m so happy this series didn’t stay a trilogy。 I definitely liked the 6 book way more。 I wonder what Kenji did again to ruin her wedding dress😂。 Warner is one of the best book boyfriends EVER。 I am also in love with Kenji if y’all haven’t noticed on my book updates。 Nazeera is such a badass but obviously secretly a simp for Kenji。 And Ella is a really strong character。 I cried so much while reading especially the part where Ella held her sister。 This book was definitely dark in a way I wasn’t expecting。 I’m giving it 4 stars。 This has to be one of the best book series I have read and the longest to lol。 Can’t wait for the novella! 。。。more

3。8So the original trilogy was my FAVOURITE thing for sooo long and I still love it。As excited as I was for these extra 3 books, I do think it maybe should’ve stayed the original trilogy。I did really enjoy the 3 new instalments, but there’s just something that was missing from the last 2。 Can’t quite put my finger on it but maybe it’s simply that they weren’t totally necessary and should’ve been left in the vault。That being said, I do love these characters and have loved this journey。

Yeah, I DEFINITELY liked this book more than I thought I would。 I'm honestly so saddd to be leaving this world, it was chaotic, yes, but so amazing and unique。 This is now one of my favorite series💛。 Yeah, I DEFINITELY liked this book more than I thought I would。 I'm honestly so saddd to be leaving this world, it was chaotic, yes, but so amazing and unique。 This is now one of my favorite series💛。 。。。more

Don’t get me wrong, I love reading kenji’s perspective, he always gets me laughing at the most inappropriate times but that was just not it。 We got his and juliettes pov and at the very end of the book, the last two chapters, the epilogue, Warner’s perspective。 I’m glad we had those two chapters in his perspective, on their wedding day but like come on man, you don’t even include their actual wedding?I was mad throughout the whole book。 I wanted to read from Aaron’s perspective, I wanted to know how he feels, why he feels that way, I wanted to be in his mind and understand his thoughts and feelings, especially after what happened, after his fiancé, to which he just got engaged, got kidnapped by the reestablishment。 Like boy, give me at least one chapter。 I was beyond mad。 Some of kenji’s chapters where good, but like the scenes where he, nazeera and aaron go on a rescue mission? Who the f cares what kenji thinks? I wanted to know every train of thought that went through Aaron’s head, especially when they had to fight Juliette。 I WANTED TO KNOW HOW FUCKED UP AARON MUST HAVE FELT WHEN HE AND JULIETTE WERE “FIGHTING”。 argghhhI just wanted to know his broken thoughts whilst trying to get the love of his life back。 :(We were robbed in so many ways, I-And again: what was the point with nazeera and kenji? They were like a thing for an eternity but never something real。 At some point I didn’t even think of the possibility of them becoming something real anymore。 It was that constant back and forth between those two and I am asking myself, why?Just let them have their moment。Can someone please explain the ending to me? First, a bunch of supreme commanders/leaders idk get killed (still don’t know if Anderson is actually dead or if he comes back to life again。 I feel like this mf is immortal), then Juliette and aaron go to emmaline。 Emmaline wants juliette to kill her and then burn the base in oceania down afterwards。 juliette kills her sister and then screams the shit out of that place。 boom。 epilogue ????What。 The。 F。 what kind of ending is this? what about the consequences? i know there is a novella that is coming out later this year but like? no? i’ve waited 6 books for the reestablishment to get defeated in such a unfulfilled way? i really do love the first three books, i liked restore me and defy me as well but imagine me disappointed me i hate to say it but i have to say goodbye。 over the last two weeks when i read this series i got attached to the characters, they got my laughing until i couldn’t breath, and sobbing at 3am (especially aaron in ignite me)。 i am forever thankful that i got to know the world of shatter me and their awesome characters :( now if you excuse me, i need to take a break and cry bc i just finished this series 。。。more

Also robot Juliette was terrifying (big black widow vibes) but the engagement I’m obsessed and I love Aaron Warner forever and ever my best emotionless love。 It kind of just felt like a nice ending to a rad series, like an extra content bit? Anyways it was pretty good。 I wish I could get my hands on the actual wedding。 This is probably the only wedding trope I like。 Very good。 4/5。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 I cannot describe how dissatisfied this book left me。 Just a few complaints off the top of my head here。 Warner should have had a PoV。 It was really stupid not for him to have one。 There was no wrap up of the story, it just ended and Mafi was like “yup they don’t need to have a conclusion, just some extra words to really confuse everyone。” It literally ended with Juliette burning down the Oceania headquarters and then almost getting married。 Nothing about what happened to the Reestablishment aro I cannot describe how dissatisfied this book left me。 Just a few complaints off the top of my head here。 Warner should have had a PoV。 It was really stupid not for him to have one。 There was no wrap up of the story, it just ended and Mafi was like “yup they don’t need to have a conclusion, just some extra words to really confuse everyone。” It literally ended with Juliette burning down the Oceania headquarters and then almost getting married。 Nothing about what happened to the Reestablishment around the rest of the world, but it’s fine I guess。 Moving on to a more structured analysis, let’s start at the beginning because chronologically is nice。 The book starts off two days after the end of the last book (book 2/5 depending on if you consider this book part of the original series or not) which is great, until Mafi throws a bunch of seemingly important information at you in like two pages and never comes back。 We just casually learn that Adam and James are being held hostage by Anderson and then that’s it。 It’s just like ope that sucks but moving on Ella just wants to fuck Warner all the time。 I think that the last book should have ended with something like “Sam barged in to the common room with a grim look on her face。 “I found some of you friends, Adam and James, and the situation does not look good。 They’re alive but they are being held by the Supreme Commander of North America: Paris Anderson,” and then the book would be over and it would make you really want to start book 3/6。 Then this book would start with like “Everyone’s been so worried about Adam and James。 Especially James。 A ten year old boy should not have to know what it’s like to be a hostage。” This could be from either Juliette or Kenji’s PoV too。 In addition, there’s like two pages about Adam and James in total after being like “oh fuck we need to save them。” Turns out, Adam made a deal so they were technically not found and taken hostage, just taken hostage after Adam was a fucking idiot。 That makes it all better, right? Absolutely not。 In the end, Juliette finds Adam while she’s still brainwashed and has no idea who he is, then at the end Nazeera and Kenji rescue all of the children of Supreme Commanders。 It doesn’t really make sense because he was an experiment for months。 They were literally trying to take his powers and exploit them。 Was he ok? Did he still have his powers? What did they do to him? All we find out is that he was unconscious for a few days after rescue and then he was fine。 How wonderful, great wrap up there。 And James, he gets a little more but still not much。 There’s no reunion between him and Juliette or him and Adam。 When he wakes up after his rescue earlier in the book, Warner just kind of barely tolerates him and interrogates him。 Kenji goes off the rails about that which I fully support because Warner is a fucking asshole this whole book。 Absolutely no redemption。 Anyways, it’s just a shame that Adam and James seemed kind of important to everyone and then got little page time (get it, like screen time, for the time characters are on the screen on TV? Yes? Ok I’ll let myself out) because they aren’t crucial to the overarching plot。 Just the subplot。 Next up, Warner should have had a PoV and his character digression was more than disappointing。 His thoughts would have been so much more important than only hearing Kenji’s complaints about Warner being brooding and an asshole。 Not to say I don’t completely agree with him because I do。 Just that maybe I would feel different if I had seen some of Warner’s thoughts other than the 20 pages at the end of him wanting to murder Kenji。 Once Juliette gets taken away, he is literally a depressed, angry, starving, she’ll of himself。 Like it would have been nice to know what he was going through once and a while instead of Kenji just being like “this bitch won’t slow down,” every time Kenji narrates so that I could understand a little more clearly the situation。 Those are my thoughts on that。 And after Juliette is taken, I get that Warner just lost everything he cared for, but he did in fact, slightly care for Kenji so why did all he ever do was glare at him? It just doesn’t feel like that’s what would happen because this isn’t even who he was before Juliette fell in love with him in the second book。 His character would not digress this much just because Juliette was taken。 At book 6, we should not be reading about Warner with a book 1 personality, and not even a personality but the rumors of what Warner is like。 That’s what he was like this entire book: the real life version of the heartless monster everyone thought he was in book 1。 The developed Warner would think “If I’m going to get her back, I will do everything and anything to do it, but maybe this time I will allow the slightest bit of help from my new friends。” But nope。 He just becomes depressed and detached and yells at everyone。 And then when he gets Juliette back the best way he can think to do it is by seducing her? What the fuck? Like not just a kiss but he literally takes of his shirt and unbuttons hers (AND SHE IS NOT WEARING A BRA SO SHES LITERALLY NAKED AND DOESN’T REMEMBER HIM)。 It’s so bad it’s sad that Mafi couldn’t do better。 I’m just speechless and angry that he digressed so much。 He doesn’t even get redeemed at the end of the book。 He just continues to be a dick and I am not in support whatsoever。 I usually like morally grey characters but this isn’t morally grey, this is “the author thought it would be cool if someone did something scary all the time with no explanation。” I guess I should move on from that long rant (my bad, and thanks if you’re still reading this)。 I think this is the last complaint which is just that there was no satisfactory conclusion。 Things that were concluded: Emmaline died and her body was taken home。 Juliette destroyed the Reestablishment’s headquarters in Oceania。 Juliette is keeping the name Juliette but Warner gets to call her Ella。 That’s literally it。 The only things that were actually concluded。 Now here’s a list of things that needed to be concluded but weren’t: What happened to the Supreme Commanders that they did not kill? Did they all die in the destruction of the Oceania HQ? Why was Kenji so upset with Castle? What the fuck happened to Adam while he was an experiment? Did Emmaline get a funeral? What happened to the shared vision Emmaline was projecting? Most importantly, what the FUCK happened to the entire Reestablishment? I understand that a lot or maybe all of the Supreme Commaders died but all the others that supported them like the leaders of the sectors, did they just surrender or is the Reestablishment just slowing crumbling? (From here are things that were brought up in the epilogue and still not concluded) How did Kenji ruin Juliette and Warner’s clothes for their wedding (this was literally the whole epilogue, you would think Mafi could have explained that much)? What did Kenji want when he had to talk to Juliette and Warner in the clothing store? And most importantly, did they actually get fucking married? Like that was what the epilogue was about and the literally didn’t even get married。 Warner just discussed how Kenji fucked it up。 And on that note, Warner absolutely should not have been the PoV for the epilogue。 It should have been Juliette。 It was literally her story being wrapped up, not Warner’s。However, in the wake of my extremely long rant, I still give this book two stars because even with all of the plot holes, I still enjoyed it while I read it。 Not so much after but it’s fine。 。。。more
